Dhamaal 4 Postponed: Ajay Devgn Starrer To Avoid Screen Battle With Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar 2 And Yash's Toxic | Report

Dhamaal 4: Ajay Devgn's much-awaited comedy film Dhamaal 4, which was slated for Eid 2026, has reportedly been postponed. This update comes after the buzz around the recent release of Ranveer Singh starrer Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar, which is dominating the internet and the box office. The makers have already confirmed the Dhurandhar 2, which is set for release on March 19, 2026, also coinciding with Eid. Interestingly, Yash’s Toxic is also scheduled to be released during the same timeline. In order to avoid a clash with two of the biggest upcoming films, the makers of Dhamaal 4 are now planning to shift their release date.

Dhamaal 4 Vs Dhurandhar 2 Vs Toxic Release Clash

The makers of Ajay Devgn’s Dhamaal 4 have reportedly decided to postpone the release date. According to a Bollywood Hungama report, “In the weeks since, the holiday period has become more competitive, with Ranveer Singh and Jio Studios revealing their sequel Dhurandhar 2, for the same slot. In addition, Yash’s highly anticipated Toxic is also set to release during the Eid weekend. Given the growing box-office competition, Ajay Devgn has decided to make a considerate move."

Dhamaal 4 To Release In May 2026?

Avoiding the Eid release window, the makers are aiming for a May 2026 release. A source revealed, "After several rounds of discussions, and following the historic success of Dhurandhar, Ajay Devgn is not willing to take the risk of clashing with the sequel of this Aditya Dhar film. He and his team are now looking to release the film in the month of May 2026." The source also added, "Ajay has always prioritised the industry's well-being. He understands the potential impact Dhurandhar 2 could have, especially after the success of the first film. He doesn’t want to pit a comic caper against a film that resonates with the masses and tackles political conflicts. He believes Dhurandhar is an important franchise that deserves a clear run.”

In September, Ajay Devgn announced the wrap up of Dhamaal 4 along with the slated release date. His post read, "Aaj ki taaza khabar, brought to you by the gang, jo ab jald hi lootne aa rahe hain aapka dil…aur dimaag! #Dhamaal4 arrives in cinemas on Eid 2026." Besides Ajay, the film also stars Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Sanjay Mishra, Jaaved Jaaferi, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Anjali Anand, Ravi Kishan and others.

Dhurandhar 2 And Toxic Release Date

Before Dhurandhar’s theatrical debut on December 5, director Aditya Dhar confirmed that a sequel was in the works. The post credits scene of the first part officially confirmed the release date of Dhurandhar 2. It will be released in theatres on March 19, 2026, just three months after part 1. This date has now set up a massive box-office clash between Ranveer Singh, Yash and Ajay Devgn on screen.
