Aditya Dhar and Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge, released worldwide on March 19, has witnessed a massive box office response, drawing large crowds to theatres globally. Fans have been celebrating the film with packed shows, cheers and high-energy reactions. However, a shocking incident from Montreal has gone viral online. A video shows a screening turning chaotic after a section of the audience allegedly vandalised the theatre screen, forcing police to intervene and enter the auditorium.
Sharing the clip, a social media user claimed that screenings were spiralling into chaos, citing incidents at Cineplex Atwater and another theatre in Angrignon. The Instagram user wrote, "Movie night gone WRONG. Dhurandar screenings are turning into straight-up chaos, first at Cineplex Atwater, now another incident reported at a different theatre in Angrignon."
The video sparked strong reactions online, with many users speculating about what led to the incident. While some claimed multiple screenings had faced similar disruptions, others criticised the behaviour, saying viewers should express their opinions without damaging theatre property. Several Canada-based users also shared similar experiences, alleging that screens were harmed during screenings.
Dhurandhar: The Revenge is directed by Aditya Dhar and stars Ranveer Singh in the lead. The spy action thriller delves into the backstory of his character, tracing his journey from training to becoming a spy, before following his mission to rise in power while dismantling the underworld and terror networks from within.
The film features a strong ensemble cast alongside Ranveer Singh, including Arjun Rampal, who plays ISI Major Iqbal, R. Madhavan as Ajay Sanyal and Sanjay Dutt as SP Choudhary. The cast is further supported by Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi in key roles, adding depth to the narrative. At the box office, Dhurandhar: The Revenge has been performing strongly, having already amassed around Rs 278 crore in domestic collections while crossing the Rs 300 crore mark worldwide, reflecting its widespread appeal and solid audience turnout.
