Months of speculations about Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela starrer romantic movie with Anurag Basu are cleared as reportedly the title has been revealed. The film, which is currently in development, has been making buzz ever since the film was announced. Fans of both Kartik and Sreeleela are quite excited to see them onscreen together as a pair. Now, there is an update on the film. As per reports, Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela starrer romantic drama has been titled as Tu Meri Zindagi Hai.

The film, Tu Meri Zindagi Hai, is slated to be released in theatres in May 2026. The project was initially rumoured to be named as Aashiqui 3 but the recent reports refute all the speculations. There was a professional split between producers Mukesh Bhatt and Bhushan Kumar regarding the project, it was reimagined as a standalone love story. A source told Mid-Day that the new title was chosen carefully to keep the nostalgia without linking it to the Aashiqui franchise. The source told the portal, “The team wanted a name that evoked nostalgia, but didn’t risk legal or creative complications. Tu Meri Zindagi Hai felt like the perfect fit."

Tu Meri Zindagi Hai is said to be a classic love story in Anurag Basu style, which is combined with a strong emotional core and soulful music. The source further added that the film has been shooting in Mumbai and will continue till the end of 2025. Final patch is expected in early 2026. The sourced told the news outlet, “With the release more than six months away, it gives the team time to weave in some additional tracks."

The movie is expected to release on May 1, 2026. However, there is no official announcement yet.Tu Meri Zindagi Hai has been written and directed by Anurag Basu.

The filmmaker’s recently released movie was Metro In Dino, which featured Sara Ali Khan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Konkona Sen Sharma, Darshana Banik, Ali Fazal, Neena Gupta and Pankaj Tripathi in pivotal roles. It was released in theatres on July 4, 2025.
