Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh has once again become a target of Khalistani extremists as he continues his AURA World Tour. His upcoming concert in Auckland, New Zealand, has reportedly come under threat from pro-Khalistan groups, though the singer remains calm and focused on spreading positivity. The controversy reportedly began when a video clip surfaced showing Diljit touching Amitabh Bachchan’s feet, a common gesture of respect in Indian culture. However, this simple act angered Khalistani extremists, who accused the singer of “insulting the victims of the 1984 Sikh riots.”

According to a report in India Today, warnings were issued by Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), a banned organisation led by US-based extremist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, who has previously targeted the Lover singer. Just days earlier, similar disruptions were reported during his Perth concert, where a small group of people raised pro-Khalistan slogans.

Meanwhile, on October 29, SFJ released a video threatening to disrupt his upcoming performances, claiming that his action of touching Amitabh Bachchan’s feet disrespected the community. The group also warned of interference at his Australia concert on November 1, but the event went ahead smoothly, drawing huge crowds and no reported trouble. Despite the controversy, Diljit continues to share cheerful moments from his shows, maintaining his trademark positive attitude.

On the other hand, during his recent Brisbane concert, the singer addressed the issue in front of thousands of fans, encouraging them to focus on love and unity. “Always keep talking about love. For me, this world is one. My Guru says, ‘Ik Onkar,’ meaning there is one God. There’s only love from my side for everyone, even if someone gets jealous or trolls me,” he said, earning loud cheers from the audience. As tensions rise, fans have praised Diljit for handling the situation with dignity and grace.
