On its third Saturday, the romance drama brought in Rs 1.25 crore, bringing its 19-day total to Rs 73.45 crore net at the Indian box office. The highly successful movie has already become Harshvardhan Rane's highest-grossing film to date.

Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat was built on a budget of Rs 25 crore, excluding P&A, and has so far made about Rs 79 crore, or a ROI of almost 220%. With a budget of Rs 15 crore, Mahavatar Narsimha has made over Rs 250 crore, making it the most profitable film of the year. Saiyaara, starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, produced a staggering Rs 338 crore on a Rs 45 crore budget. The Hindi adaptation of Kantara: Chapter 1 brought in almost Rs 220 crore, after being mounted on a budget of Rs 60 crore.

Milap Zaveri's film Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat is his second-highest gross ever. The director's highest grossing film at the Indian box office is Satyameva Jayate, starring John Abraham, which brought in 89.05 crores. The difference between the two movies is only 6.23 crores, which seems an achievable target.

The romance drama's pace has slowed, but it still has plenty of time before De De Pyaar De 2 premieres on November 14.
