Emmy Winners 2025: The Peacock Theater in Los Angeles hosted the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday. The first award was given out before emcee Nate Bargatze gave his opening monologue, which was an uncommon show sequence. Saturday Night Live actors Mikey Day, Bowen Yang, and James Austin Johnson joined Bargatze, who portrayed television inventor Philo T. Farnsworth, in a sketch that started the show. Bargatze offered his thoughts on what TV would look like in the future. For those who are unaware, Emmys are broadcast live on CBS every year. The regular Paramount users will have access to the telecast from Monday through September 21 while those with Showtime subscribtion can stream it live.

The Adolescence Dominated Emmys

Owen Cooper earned the award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or TV Movie for his outstanding performance in Netflix's Adolescence. He plays 13-year-old Jamie Miller in the television series Adolescence, which is based on actual incidents of stabbings and juvenile violence. Miller is accused of killing a classmate. It's a really difficult part, but Cooper's unvarnished and subtle performance has received a lot of attention, and this Emmy just serves to further solidify his reputation as a star. With more than 141 million views in just three months since its premiere, Adolescence is now Netflix's second-biggest success, behind Wednesday.
