Bollywood’s renowned filmmaker and choreographer, Farah Khan, is known for wit, creativity and stupendous direction. But very few of her well-wishers know that she has also acted in films. In her recent appearances on Twinkle Khanna and Kajol’s chat show, Two Much, Farah Khan opened up about her acting debut with the 2012 film, Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi. She candidly stated that she didn’t enjoy the process of acting. Khan also shared that her enthusiasm for acting didn’t last long. Taking a cheeky dig at actors having affairs, she believes that artists might get bored so they get into a relationship.
Farah Khan said, “Actually, I don’t know why I did it. I think I was sitting faaltu (useless), and then Boman (Irani) called me. Sanjay Bhansali came to my house and said, ‘I’ll be on set every day.’ It was good working with Boman.”
She added, “I became one (an actor), and then I decided this is never for me. I hated it you just have to sit and wait.” With her signature humour, she added, “I told Boman, ‘Now I know why people must be having affairs on set it’s just out of boredom!’”

The conversation about on-set relationships was tied to two segments on the reality show, where Twinkle Khanna, Kajol, Farah Khan and Ananya Panday debated whether older people are better at hiding their relationships than the younger ones. Twinkle, Ananya and Farah agreed with Twinkle’s statement, ‘Older people are much better, lots of practice.’ But Kajol was the one, who disagreed and said, “Younger people are much better at hiding everything about their lives, including affairs.” Ananya then added that in the age of social media, “everything comes out anyway.”
