Farhan Akhtar Reveals What Happened When His Dad Javed Akhtar Watched 120 Bahadur: 'He Was Moved...Not Somebody Who Cries'

Farhan Akhtar starrer 120 Bahadur has been creating significant buzz as it nears its theatrical release on November 21, 2025. Directed by Razneesh Ghai, the film is based on the true events of the Battle of Rezang La, fought between Indian and Chinese soldiers. Ahead of its theatrical run, the makers have been generating even more anticipation by dropping new posters and interesting details. Farhan revealed how his father, Javed Akhtar, reacted after watching the movie. His reaction made Farhan feel that he had managed to do something.

Farhan Akhtar Reveals Dad Javed Reaction To 120 Bahadur

In a recent interview with India Today, Farhan shared how his father Javed, has been involved with the film from seeing the editing process to watching the final cut of 120 Bahadur. He said, "He loved it. He's seen the film. He's seen the film in an edit as well. He was very moved. He's not somebody who cries very easily when he's watching a film. But he was very, very teary and very, very choked up at the end. So we really felt like we've managed to do something."

What Is Story Of 120 Bahadur About?

120 Bahadur is set to pay tribute to the courage of 120 Indian soldiers from the 13 Kumaon Regiment, who fought in the historic Battle of Rezang La during the 1962 war. Farhan Akhtar plays the role of Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, PVC, the man behind one of the most memorable chapters in India’s military history. Along with his men, he stood against all odds. 120 Bahadur star cast inlcude Raashii Khanna, Sparsh Walia, Vivan Bhatena, Dhanveer Singh, Digvijay Pratap, Sahib Verma, Ankit Siwach, and others. Senior officers Ajinkya Deo and Eijaz Khan in pivatol roles.
