Harshvardhan Rane recently shared his desire to pay for his own entourage in his upcoming projects. The actor stated that in this way, he wants to ease the financial load on producers. Rane’s decision gained attention after Aamir Khan’s recent statement about actors charging production houses for their teams. Harshvardhan said that the same thought has been there with him for quite some time. The actor then stated that his dream is to be an actor who can give more profits to the producer.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, Harshvardhan Rane said, “My purpose and dream was always to be the actor who can get the maximum returns to a producer. This is another step towards my goal of becoming a profitable actor.” He further explains that the inspiration to take this call came from more than one place.”
He continued, “It’s not just Aamir sir but also (director) Rajiv Rai’s interview and a few legends from the South film industry who inspired me to be fair to producers.”
“Change begins at home and yes, I am just doing my bit. I don’t know if I ever wished to change the system or impact a larger change in the working culture or the industry’s mindset. I just wanted to be that actor who pays his entourage from his own pocket,” Harshvardhan Rane added.
The actor concluded, “I didn’t come here to make a difference in the industry. I always just wanted to do my duties towards my career as my heart wanted to.”
Harshvardhan Rane is known for his work in movies like Sanam Teri Kasam, Haseen Dillruba, Tara vs Bilal, Taish, Savi, Fidaa and The Miranda Brothers, to name a few. Harshvardhan Rane will be next seen in Ek Deewane ki Deewaniyat. The movie also features Sonam Bajwa in the lead roles. It has been directed by Milap Zaveri and produced by Anshul Garg. Ek Deewane ki Deewaniyat is slated to be released in theatres on October 21, 2025.
