Legendary actor Dharmendra, known as the He-Man Of Bollywood, passed away in Mumbai on November 24, 2025, due to age-related health issues, just two weeks before his 90th birthday. Earlier, his wife Hema Malini had organised a prayer meet at their Mumbai residence on November 27 to honour the legendary actor. Now, Hema Malini, along with daughters Esha Deol and Ahana Deol, has hosted another prayer gathering at the Dr Ambedkar International Centre on Janpath, Delhi, to remember and pay tribute to the veteran star.

Along with Hema Malini and her daughters, Esha and Ahana, the gathering saw the presence of several family members, close friends, and colleagues in Delhi. Esha’s former husband, Bharat Takhtani and Ahana’s husband, Vaibhav Vohra, also attended the ceremony. The prayer meet commenced at 4 pm, bringing everyone together to honour Dharmendra’s memory.

At the venue entrance, a banner for the prayer meet read, “Dharmendra, A Legacy That Lives On.” Below it, the message, “His kindness, humility, and gentle warmth touched every heart. He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and everlasting grace,” stood as a heartfelt tribute—like the final chapter of a life lived with dignity and warmth.

While speaking at the prayer meet, Hema Malini broke down into tears and said, "Aaj ki is prarthana sabha mein aap sab ka swagat karte hue, main bahut hi bhavuk ho rahi hoon. Maine kabhi nahi socha tha ki meri zindagi mein aisa ek pal aayega, jab mujhe bhi yeh shok sabha rakhni padegi, woh bhi mere Dharam ji ke liye. The whole world is mourning his passing, but for me, it is an inconsolable shock, the breaking of a companionship that stood the test of time."

Member of Lok Sabha and actor Ravi Kishan, who was also present at the prayer meet, said, "Woh itne sundar vyakti the, maine itna sundar hero kabhi nahi dekha. Maine kaafi heroes ke saath kaam kiya hai, lagbhag sabke saath kar chuka hoon film industry mein. Dharam ji jaisa sundar, jo atma se bhi aur sharir se bhi sundar ho, maine kabhi nahi dekha."
