Homebound Box Office Collection Day 2: Ishaan Khatter, Vishal Jethwa, and Janhvi Kapoor played the main parts in Homebound, which was met with a lackluster reception in India. Neeraj Ghaywan is the director of the 2025 film, which has been chosen as India's official Oscar submission in the Best International Feature category. A Friendship, a Pandemic, and a Death Beside the Highway, written by journalist Basharat Peer, served as the inspiration for Homebound.

Homebound collected Rs 50 lakh nett in India on Saturday and Rs 30 lakh on Friday. The movie's first weekend differs greatly from Ishaan Khatter's typical box office results. According to Sacnilk.com, the Oscar-bound film has only made Rs 80 lakh at the domestic box office thus far.

What Is Homebound All About?

Homebound depicts the bond that developed between a Muslim and a Dalit during their early years as they pursue a police position that would grant them the respect that their last names have long denied them. Adar Poonawalla and Karan Johar are the film's producers, and Martin Scorsese is an executive producer.

Homebound has received a lot of attention due to its widespread popularity and international visibility. It has already been screened at prestigious international film festivals like the Toronto International Film Festival and the Cannes Film Festival, and it has been selected as India's official Oscar entry.
