Idli Kadai Box Office Collection Day 5: Dhanush's latest directorial, the Tamil movie Idli Kadai, premiered on October 1st, 2025. Starring Dhanush and Nithya Menen in the lead, the film initially garnered positive audience feedback and strong opening numbers. However, it experienced a significant drop on Friday before regaining momentum over its first weekend. With the latest box office report Idli Kadai is now expected to surpass the Rs 50 crore mark. This figure is considerably belowas  its reported production budget of Rs 104 crore.

Dhanush's family entertainer, according to a Sacnilk report, debuted with Rs 11 crore. The Tamil film earned Rs 9.75 crore on Thursday, but experienced a significant 42.36% drop on Friday, collecting Rs 5.6 crore. It regained momentum on its first Saturday, bringing in Rs 6.25 crore. However, on Sunday, its fifth day, the movie struggled to sustain this, collecting Rs 6 crore and bringing its total to Rs 38.60 crore.

About Idli Kadai Movie

Tamil movie Idli Kadai alongside Dhanush and Nithya Menen also features Arun Vijay, Shalini Pandey, Rajkiran, Samuthirakani, Radhakrishnan Parthiban and Geetha Kailasam in key roles. Helmed by Dhanush, the Tamil movie is also produced by him and Aakash Baskaran. The music in the film has been composed by GV Prakash. Furthermore, according to reports in Deccan Chronicle, Netflix has acquired the digital rights of Idli Kadai. The report suggests that the Tamil film is expected to stream on the platform in November almost after four weeks of theatrical run.

On the other hand, Idli Kadai is a Tamil movie that promises heartfelt family drama. It tells the story of a wealthy hotel owner who feels threatened by a talented young idli vendor's success. Upon tasting the vendor's idlis, the owner discovers the vendor is his long-lost son, the child of a former lover. His decision to transfer his wealth to his newfound heir sparks a fierce conflict with his other son.
