Palaash Muchhal-Smriti Mandhana Wedding Cancelled: Composer Palash Muchhal has finally addressed the intense speculation surrounding his cancelled wedding with Indian cricket star Smriti Mandhana. In a detailed Instagram statement shared on Sunday afternoon, he confirmed that the wedding has indeed been called off. His message came shortly after Smriti released her own note, where she also clarified that the ceremony would not take place and requested privacy.

Palaash, who was set to marry Smriti Mandhana on November 24, in her hometown Sangli, wrote that he has decided to ‘move on’ from the relationship. His post read, “I have decided to move on in my life and step back from my personal relationship.” The composer added, “Its been very difficult for me to see people react so easily on baseless rumours about something which has been most sacred to me. Its the most difficult phase of my life and I will deal with it gracefully holding on to my beliefs. I truly hope we, as a society, learn to pause before judging someone based on unverified gossip, whose sources are never identified. Our words can wound in ways we may never understand.” Palaash further said, “While we think about these things, many people in the world are facing drastic consequences. My team will be taking strict legal action against those spreading false and defamatory content. Thank you to everyone who has stood by me with kindness in this tough time.”

Why Palaash Muchhal-Smriti Mandhana’s Wedding Was Postponed?

Palaash and Smriti’s wedding celebrations began two days before the ceremony, with several Indian women’s cricket team members attending the pre-wedding events. However, on the morning of November 24, Smriti’s manager announced that the wedding was postponed indefinitely because her father had been hospitalised with a cardiac-related condition. Later the same day, Palaash and his family flew back to Mumbai. Reports claimed that Palaash was also admitted to hospital due to stress caused by the unexpected events and speculation around the wedding.

As the couple steps away from the public speculation, both have requested privacy to heal and move forward.
