Aamir Khan starrer Sitaare Zameen Par, which made its theatrical debut on June 20, has witnessed an impressive collection over the weekend. The sports drama has earned Rs 59.90 crore so far. The film has crossed the 50 crore mark in just two days. On its day 2, it scored Rs 20.2 crore on its first Saturday. After looking at Sitaare Zameen Par's solid performance upon its release, veteran lyricist and screenwriter Javed Akhtar shared his views on Aamir and Genelia Deshmukh starrer performance at the box office. He congratulated the team and stated that 'who says good films have no takers in the audience?'

Javed took to his X on Sunday and posted, "So happy to learn about the record leap that Sitaare Zameen Par has taken at the box office on the second day. Who says good films have no takers in the audience? Congratulations to Aamir Khan and his team."

Not only Javed Akhtar, but Mahesh Babu also reviewed Aamir's film. He revealed how it is a must-watch by saying it will make the audience laugh, cry and clap.

The SSMB 29 actor also tagged the star cast and director RS Prasanna and others on the post.

Sitaare Zameen Par Box Office Report

The movie earned Rs 10.7 crore net on Friday in India. It showed improvement in the first-weekend window. On Saturday, it scored Rs 20.2 crore while looking at early estimates of day 3, it stands at Rs 29.00 crore, as per Sacnilk report.
