Jennifer Lawrence created waves with her presence at the ongoing 78th Cannes Film Festival. She attended the event for the premiere of her film Die My Love alongside her co-star Robert Pattinson. The movie, which revolves around a new mother battling postpartum depression and descending into madness, received a standing ovation from the attendees. Being a mother herself, Jennifer Lawrence shared her own experience and the impact of motherhood on her personal life and career.

While filming the movie, Jennifer Lawrence shared that there was not really anything like postpartum. As quoted by Variety, she said, "As a mother, it was really hard to separate what I would do as opposed to what she would do. And it was just heartbreaking. I had just had my firstborn, and there’s not really anything like postpartum. It’s extremely isolating, which is so interesting. When Lynne moves this couple into Montana, she doesn’t have a community. She doesn’t have her people. But the truth is, extreme anxiety and extreme depression is isolating, no matter where you are. You feel like an alien.”

Did you know Lawrence filmed Die My Love when she was five months pregnant with her second child? The actress revealed during Cannes press conference. She stated, “Having children changes everything. It changes your whole life. It’s brutal and incredible. So not only do they go into every decision of if I’m working, where I’m working, when I’m working, they’ve taught me — I mean, I didn’t know that I could feel so much and my job has a lot to do with emotion. It’s almost like feeling a blister or something — like, so sensitive. So they’ve changed my life, obviously, for the best and they’ve changed me creatively."

She highly recommended becoming a parent, whoever wants to be an actor. "I highly recommend having kids if you want to be an actor,"Lawrence was quoted by Variety.

Jennifer Lawrence and Cooke Maroney got married in October 2019. They are parents to a son Cy, whom they welcomed in 2022. She reportedly welcomed her second child in March 2025. Lawrence announced she was expecting her second baby with Maroney via a Vogue Instagram post in October 2024, as per a People report.
