After Lust Stories 2, Kajol is all set to make a comeback on the big screen with a mythological horror thriller titled Maa. Directed by Vishal Furia, the movie is scheduled to release on June 27. Ahead of its theatrical run, the makers are leaving no stone unturned to build anticipation among fans. Skipping the conventional route of releasing a teaser followed by a trailer, the Kajol starrer will enthral audiences with its first glimpses through an upcoming trailer launch.
Taking to Instagram, Kajol dropped an intriguing poster featuring her in a fierce face-off with a terrifying creature, setting the tone of the movie. The tagline adds intensity and curiosity by stating, "Rakshak. Bhakshak. MAA." Her post read, "The protector. The destroyer. The trailer drops in 4 days. #MaaTheFilm." Impressed with her fiery look, fans showed their excitement in the comments section. One user wrote, "OME, very excited." Actor Vindu Dara Singh commented, "Will be deadly for sure this film !!!" Another user posted, "kajol is backkkk here to rule."

In the movie, Kajol will be seen fighting evil to protect her daughter. As the name of the movie suggests Maa, the story is touted to be based on the mother, who can go to any extent to save her daughter. Directed by Vishal Furia and written by Saiwyn Quadras, the mythological horror thriller drama also stars Indraneil Sengupta, Ronit Roy, and Jitin Gulati in pivotal roles. Maa is produced by Ajay Devgn and Jyoti Deshpande and co-produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak. It is presented by Jio Studios and Devgn Films. The movie which is set to premiere on June 27, will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Bengali languages.
Apart from the Maa movie, Kajol has Maharagni-Queen of Queens movie. The film also stars Prabhu Deva, Naseeruddin Shah, and Jisshu Sengupta. She also has Sarzameen, where she will be sharing screen with Ibrahim Ali Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran in the pipeline.
