Jr NTR is currently working on his much-awaited movie Dragon. As per reports, there is an update on the movie, Kantara Chapter 1 actor Rishab Shetty is set to join Jr NTR for this film. Shetty is likely to make a special appearance in Dragon, as reported by 123 Telugu. While there is no official confirmation about the same yet, reports claim that discussions are currently underway with the actor. Well, if the reports come true, it will be a delight for the fans to see the two big stars onscreen.
Dragon also feature Rukmini Vasanth in the lead roles. According to a report by The Hindustan Times, “Prashanth Neel’s biggest and most ambitious project ever; even bigger than his pan-India blockbusters Salaar and KGF.” The source told the news outlet that Dragon is the kind of movie Neel wanted to make right from the beginning of his career. The movie brings Prashanth Neel, cinematographer Bhuvan Gowda and composer Ravi Basrur back once again, the other two played an important part in introducing the musical idiom of Kannada movie, KGF.

Dragon is expected to have a big budget mark. As per reports, the director is planning to be finally unrestricted by budgets and is working hard to give one huge cinematic experience with Jr NTR. He is planning to give the audience an experience of larger-than-life action, visuals and storytelling, which is expected to set a new standard for Indian cinema. The shoot of the movie started in March, this year. Dragon is slated to release on June 25, 2026. The first look of the movie is expected to be released in May 20, which is on Jr NTR’s birthday.
Jr NTR was last seen in War 2 alongside Hrithik Roshan. The movie also featured Kiara Advani, Ashutosh Rana and Anil Kapoor in key roles. It has been directed by Ayan Mukerji.
On the hand, Rishab Shetty is set to appear in a much anticipated Kannada movie Kantara: Chapter 1. It also featured Sapthami Gowda and Rukmini Vasanth in key roles. The film was released in theatres on October 2, 2025.
