Kantara Chapter 1 Box Office Collection Day 12: Rishab Shetty starrer Kannada movie, which released in theatres on October 2, has seen a massive drop in numbers at ticket windows on the second Monday. However, the film surpassed Rs 450 crore in India. Kantara Chapter 1 is now aiming for the Rs 500 crore milestone in India. While it's just Rs 50 crore away but the drop has been concerning. The film needs to gear up its pace to achieve the mark sooner.

Kantara Chapter 1 Box Office Collection Day 12

As per Sacnilk, the movie earned Rs 13.50 crore on Day 12. The net collection of Kantara Chapter 1 stands at Rs 451.90 crore. The film had an overall 34.86 per cent Kannada occupancy on Monday. It had 15.91 per cent occupancy in the morning shows, 30.82 per cent in the afternoon shows, 43.11 per cent in the evening shows and 49.59 per cent in the night shows.

What Is The Production Cost Of Kantara Chapter 1?

According to reports, the film has been made on a budget of Rs 125 crore.

The movie explores the origin of Kaadubettu Shiva during the Kadamba dynasty era. Kantara Chapter 1 focuses on the untamed wilderness and forgotten lore surrounding his past. The Kannada movie stars Rishab Shetty, Rukmini Vasanth, Gulshan Devaiah, Gulshan Devaiah, Rakesh Poojari, Pramod Shetty, Achyuth Kumar and Prakash Thuminad. It has been written and directed by Rishab Shetty. The movie has been backed by Vijay Kiragandur, Chaluve Gowda under the production banner of Hombale Films. The film has a runtime of 2 hours and 48 minutes. It is the prequel to the 2022 movie Kantara. The movie then earned Rs 309.64 crore in India after 56 days of release and Rs 407.82 crore worldwide.
