Kantara Chapter 1 Box Office Prediction Day 1: Rishab Shetty starrer much-awaited Kannada movie, is slated to be back with its prequel after the sequel became a blockbuster. The 2022 movie had a box office collection of Rs 309.64 crore. The film then had Rs 162.09 crore collection in Kannada language, Hindi version earned Rs 84.77 crore, the Telugu movie collected Rs 42.38 crore, Tamil is Rs 7.29 crore and Malayalam is Rs 13.11 crore. The film then had opened with moderate numbers of Rs 1.95. However, later, the film skyrocketed with big numbers, earning Rs 407.82 crore worldwide.

This time, the pan-India movie Kantara Chapter 1 is set to rock at the box office from the beginning itself. Yes, the movie has already earned Rs 21.56 crore with block seats for the opening day. Without block seats, the film has earned Rs 13.75 crore. Kantara Chapter 1 is likely to show growth in the following hour, seeing the hype on social media. 235645 tickets have been sold of the Kannada version, 76025 of the Telugu version, 75692 of the Hindi version, 53939 of the Tamil version, 62258 of the Malayalam version.

Seeing the advance box office reports, Kantara Chapter 1 cannot beat Pawan Kalyan’s Telugu movie They Call Him OG, which opened at the ticket windows, earning Rs 63.75 crore. The Kannada movie is currently far away from They Call Him OG's opening day collection. However, tables might turn in a few days if Kantara Chapter 1 holds a strong grip at the box office.

What Is Kantara Chapter 1 All About?

The movie explores the origins of Kaadubettu Shiva during the Kadamba dynasty era. It focuses on the untamed wilderness and forgotten lore surrounding his past. Kantara Chapter 1 stars Rukmini Vasanth, Gulshan Devaiah, Jayaram and Achyuth Kumar in pivotal roles. Rishab Shetty himself has directed the film. It has been produced by Vijay Kiragandur, Chaluve Gowda. The movie has been made on a budget of Rs 125 crore.
