Kantara, directed by Rishab Shetty, smashed nearly every record and became a huge hit. On October 2, the second installment of the movie, Kantara: Chapter 1, will be released in theaters. Rishab Shetty spoke at a Mumbai event organised by the film's producers prior to its theatrical debut, discussing how the Kannada movie has impacted his life. The actor, who worked as a producer's driver, never imagined becoming this successful.

Rishab Shetty talked about his early struggles and why Mumbai is so special to him at the pre-release event. He disclosed that he was formerly employed as an office boy for a production banner in Mumbai's Andheri West district.

He said, "Andheri West mein ek production house ka office boy aur ek producer ka driver tha main. Toh hum soch sakte, cinema kya kar sakta hai. Ek film karke itna reputation, love, blessing mila, aisa socha bhi nahi tha. Us cinema production house ki road par vada pav khate waqt kabhi soch bhi nahi sakta tha ki yahan tak aaunga. Bohot bohot abhaari hoon main."

Rishab Shetty also considered how Hindi-speaking audiences have been accepting regional films more widely, especially those from the South. The anticipation for Kantara Chapter 1 is really strong. Industry insiders think the sequel might expand Kannada cinema's appeal throughout India, especially considering how much Hindi audiences loved the first. All About Rishab Shetty's Kantara Chapter 1 

Kantara: Chapter 1 will release nationwide on October 2, which falls on the holidays of Gandhi Jayanti and Dussehra. The movie also stars Rukmini Vasanth, Jayaram, Rakesh Poojari, and Gulshan Devaiah. Shanil Guru, Anirudh Mahesh, and Rishab Shetty co-wrote the screenplay, which was produced by Hombale Films. B. Ajaneesh Loknath, who also composed for the original hit, is the composer of the music.

Kantara Chapter 1 is highly anticipated because it is a prelude to the 2021 blockbuster Kantara. Not just in Karnataka, but also in northern India, the first movie was a big hit. Four days prior to Kantara Chapter 1's release, advance reservations went live on Sunday. With 1.7 lakh tickets sold in just over a day, the first day's pre-sales have already reached a total of Rs 5.7 crore.
