Randhir Kapoor-Babita Kapoor Love Story: Babita Kapoor, who made her acting debut in 1966 with Dus Lakh, captured the heart of Randhir Kapoor, the eldest son of Bollywood's wealthy family. The veteran star fell in love when he first laid eyes on Babita on the set of his father Raj Kapoor's movie Sangam.  In little time, the two started dating. Randhir Kapoor's parents proposed marriage to Babita. However, they soon began living separately because they didn't enjoy one another's habits after marriage.

Years later, Babita and Randhir decided to live together again. This came as a divine intervention for their daughter, Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor. In a recent interview with Barkha Dutt for Mojo Story, The Buckingham Murders' actor was asked about her parents' unconventional marriage and how it shaped her idea of family and being a parent.

Kareena Kapoor shared, "Everyone’s parents are the best parents in the world. Yes. And my parents are the best parents in the world." When asked about her parents reuniting after living separately for years, she said, "They individually realised that this is the way they want to be."

Kareena Kapoor disclosed that her parents, Randhir and Babita, have decided 'to just spend their old age holding hands together because that’s where their journey started and that’s where exactly they are together.'

"That is something that has come a full circle for Karisma and me, which is absolutely, it’s like a divine kind of intervention which has happened. Individually, I think both of them have been wonderful because I mean my father has always supported whatever I wanted to do in my life," she revealed.

Kareena Kapoor once spoke to the same publication about her parents' dynamic bond and said, "My parents have a lovely relationship because sometimes, two people realise that their lives aren’t exactly going the way they planned, so it’s better that they don’t stay together but they can still be friends and sometimes, take decisions about the kids. It’s not necessary that they have to be staying under the same roof or being there 24*7 together. I think both Karisma and I understood that at a very early age that this kind of relationship can exist as well. It has existed for almost 35 years with my parents, and I see that in times when they need to come together, they are always together, but they prefer to have their day-to-day lives separately, which is wonderful (sic)."
