Karisma Kapoor attended the prayer meet of her ex-husband and industrialist Sunjay Kapur, which was held at the Taj Palace Hotel in Delhi today, June 22. She was accompanied by their children, Samaira and Kiaan. Her sister Kareena Kapoor Khan and brother-in-law Saif Ali Khan also attended. The videos and photos from Sunjay's prayer meet are circulating widely. In one of them, his ex-wife Karisma and his current wife Priya Sachdev Kapur were seen offering prayers and paying their last respect to him.

The family members and friends gathered on June 22 at the emotional prayer meet in Delhi, following Sunjay’s untimely demise on June 12 during a polo match in England.

In the viral visuals, Karisma and her children Samaira and Kiaan were seen standing beside Priya Sachdev, who was seated in a chair in front of them praying for Sunjay with folded hands. Priya was accompanied by their children Azarias and Safira.

Besides the Kapoor family, actress Neha Dhupia was also spotted at the businessman's prayer meet.

Sunjay Kapur was previously married to designer Nandita Mahtani and they separated in 2003. Later, he tied the knot with actress Karisma in 2003. They have two children together- a daughter Samaira and a son named Kiaan. After things didn't work out between them, they parted ways in 2014, and their divorce was finalised in 2016. Sunjay later married Priya Kapur, which was his third marriage. His current wife is survived by two kids- Azarius and Safira.

Sunjay Kapur’s Demise

Sunjay Kapur served as chairman of Sona Comstar, a prominent global automotive component supplier with a significant footprint in the electric vehicle industry. He's recognized for his sharp business insight and enthusiasm for polo. During a polo match, he accidentally swallowed a bee mid-game, which reportedly triggered a severe allergic reaction that required fatal despite immediate medical attention. He also suffered a heart attack. He breathed his last at the age of 53.
