Telugu movie Kuberaa starring Dhanush, Rashmika Mandanna and Nagarjuna is set for its theatrical release. Directed by Sekhar Kammula, the movie has officially received a UA certification from the Central Board of Film Certification. The makers launched the movie’s trailer in a pre-release event held in Hyderabad on June 15, 2025, and SS Rajamouli made a guest appearance at the launch. The trailer showcased a power battle between a beggar, played by Dhanush, and a government officer, portrayed by Nagarjuna.
Kuberaa is a major pan-India release produced by Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao. The movie is presented by Sonali Narang, with music by Devi Sri Prasad. Dhanush’s upcoming movie will release in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi and is expected to be one of the biggest cinematic releases of the season. With a runtime of 181 minutes, the Telugu movie is slated for worldwide theatrical release on June 20.

Meanwhile, Rashmika Mandanna is featured as Dhanush's love interest, grappling with her own challenges. The trailer concludes with Dhanush challenging the status quo.
Earlier, the trailer of the Telugu movie was supposed to release on 13th June in a pre-release event. However, it was cancelled due to the tragic Air India plane crash that happened in Ahmedabad. Kuberaa also marks Dhanush’s debut in Telugu cinema and Sekhar Kammula’s second movie in Tamil after Anaamika.

On the work front, actor Dhanush was last seen in the Tamil movie Raayan. His upcoming projects include Tere Ishk Mein, which is a sequel to 2013's Raanjhanaa. The movie will also star Kriti Sanon as the lead female actress. On the other hand, South superstar Nagarjuna last appeared in Naa Saami Ranga, and actress Rashmika Mandanna recently made headlines with her brilliant performance in the Chhaava movie, starring alongside Vicky Kaushal.
