Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi reboot is nearing its premiere date on Star Plus with the return of the original cast on July 29. The makers are taking the excitement to the next level by dropping promos and BTS videos ahead of the show's release. Smriti Irani is making her comeback on television with her iconic role as Tulsi. Not only her, but the OG cast of Kyunki is also making their return to celebrate 25 years of the show. They were seen shooting with Smriti Irani on the sets of the show and expressing their excitement in the latest video. The first look of the cast has also been unveiled.
OG Cast Of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Returns
The makers shared a video on their official Instagram handle and wrote, “Camera ke peeche chhupi hai dosti, hasi aur bahut saari yaadein. Tulsi ke saath safar phir se shuru ho raha hai, aap saath chalenge? Dekhiye #KyunkiSaasBhiKabhiBahuThi, 29th July se raat 10:30 baje sirf StarPlus par, aur kabhi bhi JioHotstar par.” The clip introduces Shakti Anand, Ritu Seth, Gauri Pradhan, Hiten Tejwani, Amar Upadhyay, Kamalika Guha Thakurta, Ketki Dave and others on Kyunki set.
Kamalika, who played the role of Gayatri in the show for eight years, expressed her happiness at returning to the sets in 2025 with the original members of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.

Shakti Anand also shared his feelings and revealed why it's special, as it was his debut show on television. He portrayed the character of Hemant Jamnadas Virani in the show.
Soon after, fans shared their excitement. One user in the comments section wrote, "Goosebumps, excitement and lots of happiness all into one- that kind of feeling. Thanks EK for getting this classic back," while another user commented, "Omg goosebumps....super excited." Another comment read, "Why does this give a different kind of happiness?"

Debuted in July 2000, the show featuring Smriti Irani in the lead role, made its mark in daily soaps with its storyline and performances for 8 years. It bid adieu to the audience in November 2008. After a long wait, Ektaa Kapoor and her team are coming back with a new story but with the original cast. Kyunki is returning with limited episodes on July 29th on StarPlus and will also stream on JioHotstar.
