Maalik Box Office Collection Day 2: Maalik saw a 36% increase in box office receipts during the first day. The dark, intense movie starring Rajkummar Rao and Manushi Chillar debuted in theaters on Friday to a mixed reception. It must contend with a number of formidable rivals, like Jurassic World Rebirth and Sitaare Zameen Par. Taking it into account, Maalik's pace is adequate. After Saturday surge, the movie will only grow over the weekend. 

Maalik's second-day box office receipts increased to Rs 5.25 crore, above its Rs 3.75 crore first-day total, according to Sacnilk. The total amount collected is Rs 9 crore. Maalik had an overall occupancy rate of 18.84% in Hindi on Saturday in terms of foot traffic. The morning performances drew 6.40% attendance, and the afternoon shows had 16.95%. The attendance at the nighttime shows was 19.14%.

Maalik has outlasted up to seven Bollywood flicks from 2025 in just 48 hours after its premiere.  Superboys of Malegaon (5.32 crores), Azaad (7.61 crores), Phule (6.76 crores), Ground Zero (7.77 crores), Kapkapiii (1.50 crores), Kesari Veer (1.88 crores), and Loveyapa (7.69 crores) were all overtaken.

Maalik vs Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan Box Office

Maalik is competing fiercely with Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, which also features Shanaya and Vikrant Massey. On its second day, the movie brought in Rs 43 lakh, which was a little more than its Rs 30 lakh opening day haul. Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan is still behind Rajkummar's Maalik with a total collection of Rs 73 lakh.

Maalik Movie Budget

Maalik needed to make a major leap at the box office after a poor start because it was reportedly built on a Rs 50 crore budget. According to reports, Rajkummar's last movie, Bhool Chuk Maaf, was also made on a 50 crore rupee budget and grossed Rs. 28 crore in three days.

Pulkit is the director, while Kumar Taurani, working with Jay Shewakramani of Northern Lights Films, is producing the movie under the Tips Films label. Manushi Chhillar, Prosenjit Chatterjee, and Rajkummar Rao lead this dark movie. Swanand Kirkire, Rajendra Gupta, Anshumaan Pushkar, Saurabh Sachdeva, Saurabh Shukla, and Baljinder Kaur also star in significant roles in Maalik. The movie opened to mixed reviews from fans and critics alike. Even while Rajkummar received accolades for his performance, many were let down by the movie's formulaic plot.
