Varanasi is expected to be Rajamouli's most adventurous movie to date. The narrative takes place across many centuries, beginning in an ancient kingdom in 512 CE and ending in 2071 when the city is under assault from meteors.

The teaser or first look, which combines epic conflicts between mankind and gods with exhilarating global adventures, also promises sequences in Antarctica, Africa, and underground caverns. Rajamouli is creating a cinematic extravaganza by fusing amazing computer-generated imagery with expansive action scenes.

Meanwhile, Varanasi is being specifically recorded in a new premium landscape format for IMAX, which is a first for the Indian film industry, according to SS Rajamouli. The goal of this technology is to give viewers worldwide a more expansive and engaging movie experience.
