Metro In Dino Box Office Collection Day 10: Anurag Basu’s latest movie Metro In Dino is holding its ground at the box office with a steady performance since its release. The romantic monsoon drama, released on 4th July, in its first week collected a total of Rs 26.85 Cr nett in India. In its second weekend alone, it earned another Rs 11.70 Cr, thanks to strong word-of-mouth that continues to attract viewers, even on weekdays.

After 10 days in theatres, Metro In Dino has made a total collection of Rs 41.59 Cr nett, which is a decent figure for a movie of this genre. Despite facing competition from new releases, the movie is managing to keep its screens and hold its audience. Now, Anurag Basu’s movie enters its second full week and all eyes are on whether it will manage to cross the Rs 50 crore mark by the end of the week. Its performance so far suggests it might just get there if the current momentum continues.

Box Office Clash: Metro In Dino vs Superman 

However, Metro In Dino is now facing some serious competition at the box office. The biggest challenge has come from James Gunn’s Hollywood superhero movie Superman, which is off to a strong start in Indian theatres. The film, starring David Corenswet as the new Superman, made around Rs 9–10 Cr on its first Sunday alone. Metro In Dino vs Maalik vs Aankhon Ki Gustakhiya

Despite the arrival of Superman and other new Hindi releases like Maalik and Aankhon Ki Gustakhiya, Metro In Dino continues to stay ahead in terms of numbers. Rajkummar Rao starrer Maalik has made a total revenue of Rs 14.25 Cr in three days while Vikrant Massey’s Aankhon KI Gustakhiya movie has made a total box office collection of Rs 1.2 crore. While those two films are struggling to find their footing, Basu’s romantic drama remains the preferred choice for audiences looking for something heartwarming and emotional.
