Mohit Suri is a known director who has given several noteworthy movies to the Bollywood industry like Aashiqui 2, Ek Villain, Malang and others. The director recently got candid during one of his interviews and revealed that he is a big fan of Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Sandeep has envisioned movies like Animal, Arjun Reddy and Kabir Singh, and each one of them has become the centre of controversy. Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s movies are often criticised for showcasing toxic male characters and for glorifying the idea of a dominating relationship.
Mohit Suri has come to his defence and supported the way Sandeep Reddy Vanga makes his movie choices. In a recent interview with Filmygyan, Mohit Suri pointed out that it's people who often create controversies around his movies. “I love his films. Hum banate hai use controversial (We make his films controversial). Ye same kahani aap kisi gangster ke sath karo - Bhatt sahab ne kiya hai Sadak mein. (You make Sandeep kind of films with a gangster, in fact, Mahesh Bhatt has made Sadak like that). We are from that school of cinema. Ram Gopal Varma has made such films too. Everyone has the right to make their films. You have a right to like it or not like it,” he said.
