Popular Bollywood singer Monali Thakur, known for songs Sawaar Loon and Moh Moh Ke Dhaage, is in the talk of the town due to her personal life this time. The singer has been making headlines for her divorce rumours. Until now, she has not confirmed or denied any of the speculations. But her recent Instagram story post has created a buzz again and further fueled the reason behind the divorce. Monali shared a music video, Ek Baar Phir. The visuals of the song show her in distressing scenes that appear to depict emotional and physical abuse.

The music video shows a moment of strangulation. Monali Thakur stated that her song is her ‘most personal’ yet. She did not make any claim on the imagery concept in her personal life.
As per reports, Monali Thakur and Maik Richter got hitched in a private ceremony in 2017. In 2020, Monali confirmed the wedding news to ETimes. She then recalled how Malik proposed to her on Christmas Eve in 2026, in the very spot where they met for the first time. She immediately said yes.

After years of marriage, the divorce speculation ignited when Monali unfollowed Richter on Instagram. Neither of the two has publicly commented on the divorce rumours.
A source told Hindustan Times, “A lot has changed in these years between them; no one talks about them as a couple any more. Long-distance marriages usually do face such endings. Yes, a social media cut-off surely is a red flag. Maybe she’s waiting for the right time to come forward and speak on it, and it’s also right that way.”
