Nawazuddin Siddiqui has a wide range of work, from gritty shows like Sacred Games to Bollywood movies, Gangs of Wasseypur, which gave him popularity. The actor stated that the kind of movies he does, his children can't watch them. He also shared that his upcoming movie, Thamma, is the first movie that his kids can watch. Not only that, the star also praised Maddock Horror Comedy Universe (MHCU) for creating such a magnificent horror film multiverse. He also pointed out that now more numbers of talented actors have been part of horror movies than it was previously.

In an interview with The Hindustan Times, Nawazuddin Siddiqui shared that Thamma is the first movie that his daughter Shora and son Yani can watch with him. He said, “Mujhe Thamma ke liye excitement isiliye bhi hai kyunki voh world jahaan pe humne shoot kiya hai, voh sirf humne dant kathaaon mein pehle padha tha. And plus, the kind of films I do, kids can't watch them. Yeh pehli film hai jo mere bachche dekh paayenge!”

The 51 actor added, “If you look at this universe, from Stree till now, the set of talented actors you get to see in a horror film, didn't used to happen for horror films before. Aise actors ko ikathha karna kamaal hai.”

Thamma is another instalment in the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe (MHCU), which has been created by Dinesh Vijan. The film also features Rashmika Mandanna, Ayushmann Khurrana, Sapthami Gowda, Diana Penty, Sanjay Dutt, Aparshakti Khurana and Geeta Agarwal in key roles. It has been directed by Aditya Sarpotdar and produced by Amar Kaushik, Dinesh Vijan. The movie is about two destined lovers, who battle supernatural forces, family ties and nature, to defend their forbidden romance. Thamma is set to be released in theatres on October 21 (Tuesday) on the occasion of Diwali.

Talking about Nawazuddin Siddiqui, the actor was last seen in Costao. The film was released on May 1 on Zee5. The movie was seen portraying the role of a well-known Goa customs officer, Costao Fernandes, who sacrificed everything to dismantle a major gold smuggling operation. The movie also stars Priya Bapat, Kishore Kumar G, Hussain Dalal, Mahika Sharma, Davina Colaço and Gagan Dev Riar in key roles.
