On Sunday, members of the crew shooting for the upcoming Bollywood film in Leh fell ill after consuming food on the set, suffering from stomach pain and other issues due to food poisoning. They were admitted to Sonam Nurboo Memorial Hospital (SNM) and other primary health centres in Leh. On Monday, according to an official statement, most of the crew members were discharged from the hospital after their condition stabilised.

According to media reports, an official was quoted as saying, "The food samples were picked up for detailed analysis."

Before the incident, about 600 people had eaten food on the set. Out of them, the condition of over 100 deteriorated. Doctors believed this could be a case of food poisoning. The hospital management, then, took samples of the food eaten on the set to determine the actual cause behind people falling sick. After the report came in, a doctor at the hospital confirmed it was a clear case of food poisoning.
