Perfect Family Trailer Out: Neha Dhupia And Gulshan Devaiah Dive Into Family Chaos And Therapy In Upcoming Web Series

Perfect Family Trailer Out: The trailer of Perfect Family, India’s first paid long-format YouTube series, has finally been released. Starring Neha Dhupia, Gulshan Devaiah and Girija Oak Godbole, the show gives viewers a lively and emotional look into a chaotic middle-class household trying to deal with family therapy. Supported by seasoned actors Manoj Pahwa and Seema Pahwa, the dramedy follows a family pushed into counselling after an unexpected incident involving their young granddaughter. Blending humour with honest emotion, the series explores misunderstandings, old conflicts and the deep-rooted stigma that still surrounds mental health in many Indian homes. 

The Perfect family eight-episode series is a major digital experiment, produced by JAR Pictures’ Ajay Rai and Mohit Chhabra, and also marks Pankaj Tripathi’s first project as a producer. Viewers can watch the first two episodes for free on the JAR Series YouTube channel. Actor Gulshan Devaiah, who plays one of the central characters, said in a statement, “Perfect Family is the kind of story that feels both entertaining and necessary. As Indians, we hardly ever talk openly about mental health, especially within the family. This show approaches that discomfort with a lot of heart and humour. Playing a character who is trying to hold his family together while navigating therapy sessions was both fun and deeply meaningful. I think audiences will see a bit of themselves in every character and hopefully take away something genuine while enjoying a good laugh."

Meanwhile, created by Palak Bhambri and directed by Sachin Pathak, the series aims to portray each character’s journey with sensitivity. Neha Dhupia plays a therapist guiding the troubled family as they try to confront long-standing emotional issues and personal struggles. The trailer highlights how each family member deals with mental health challenges differently, while still learning how to support one another through honest and sometimes uncomfortable conversations. According to the makers, Perfect Family focuses on the balance between personal healing and the strength of family bonds, showing how emotional recovery often begins at home.

On the other hand, producers Ajay Rai and Mohit Chhabra believe the subject and format will connect strongly with digital audiences. Speaking about Pankaj Tripathi joining the project as producer, Ajay Rai said, “We are delighted to have Pankaj Tripathi ji join us as a producer for Perfect Family.
