Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi turned 75 this year on September 17. Several political figures across the world, Bollywood stars and common citizens of India wished him with heartfelt messages on social media. On this special occasion, the production house Silver Cast Creations made a special announcement and introduced a groundbreaking project. The makers announced the title of PM Modi’s biopic - ‘Maa Vande.’ The movie is expected to chronicle his journey from childhood to a powerful leader. It will also depict his deep bond with his mother, Heeraben Modi, who remained a constant supporting figure throughout his life.

Maa Vende’s Lead Actor:

Helmed by Kranthi Kumar CH, who is known for projects like Seetharamaiah Gari Manavaralu (1991), Aranyakanda (1987), and Neti Siddhartha (1990), Maa Vande will feature the Malayalam actor Unni Mukundan as PM Narendra Modi. Produced by Veer Reddy M, the biopic’s team includes some of the most acclaimed technicians like cinematographer KK Senthil Kumar, National Award-winning editor Sreekar Prasad, production designer Sabu Cyril, action choreographer King Solomon, and composer Ravi Basrur.

About Maa Vande:

Maa Vande is going to be a pan-India movie, releasing in multiple languages, including English. According to the ongoing buzz, the film is scheduled for a 2026 release. Sharing details about the movie, actor Unni Mukundan took to his Instagram and wrote, “I’m humbled to share that I will be portraying the Honourable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Damodardas Modi ji, in the upcoming film Maa Vande, directed by @krantikumar and produced by @maavandemovie.”

He mentioned that stepping into the role of PM Narendra Modi is going to be overwhelming yet inspiring for him as an actor. “His political journey has been nothing short of extraordinary, but in this film, we aim to explore the man beyond the statesman, especially his profound bond with his mother, who shaped his character and spirit,” a part of his note read.

Unni Mukundan’s Projects:

Meanwhile, on the work front, Unni Mukundan's recent projects include Malayalam films Marco, and Jai Ganesh. The South superstar is also slated to star in and direct his first feature film, which is a superhero story. Unni is currently working on a Telugu movie and a comedy-drama titled Get Set Baby.
