The Raja Saab Update: Actor Prabhas is all set to return with a never-seen-before avatar in the much-awaited romantic horror comedy The Raja Saab. Recently, the makers unveiled the trailer, which has already sparked anticipation about what director Maruthi has in store. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar and many others in key roles. During the pre-release event of The Raja Saab in Hyderabad on Saturday evening, Prabhas shared his experience of working with Sanjay Dutt. He admitted Dutt's aura and screen presence were so powerful that he made him forget his own scenes.

At the Raja Saab event, Prabhas heaped praises on Sanjay Dutt, who plays the antagonist in the movie. He said, "Sanjay sir...just your screen presence is more than enough. When they put a close-up on you, you completely consume the screen. When I watched his scenes during dubbing, I started forgetting my own scenes."

Sanjay Dutt, known for portraying menacing roles, has also been impressing audiences with his performances in South Indian cinema. He was seen as Adheera in the Yash starrer KGF 2. He was also seen as the ruthless Anthony Das in Vijay starrer Leo. Now, he once again portrays a formidable character in Prabhas starrer The Raja Saab.

In September, makers unveiled the trailer, in which Sanjay Dutt’s character is introduced by Boman Irani, who describes him as an ‘exorcist, psychiatrist and hypnotist’. Prabhas is seen preparing to face off against Sanjay Dutt and even makes a Star Wars reference. He was heard saying, “Then let’s settle this in a fight between two stars. Star Wars" The trailer also introduces viewers to Prabhas' dual persona, a charming lover boy and a rugged action hero.

He also praised Maruthi's direction and especially highlighted the film's climax. Prabhas said, "I’m just speechless. Yes, it’s you (audience) who ultimately needs to judge the film, but for me it’s a superb climax. Maruthi darling, did you write the climax with pen or machine gun?"

The Raja Saab is directed by Maruthi and produced by People Media Factory and IVY Entertainment. The film stars Prabhas, Sanjay Dutt, Boman Irani, Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Riddhi Kumar in key roles. The Raja Saab is scheduled for a pan-India release in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam on January 9, 2026.
