Bollywood actress Preity Zinta never shies away from responding to social media users who troll her for her personal and professional life. Her latest post is proof of that. She clapped back at a netizen who asked her a distasteful question linking her to Australian cricketer Glenn Maxwell. A user joked about Maxwell's poor performance for Punjab Kings (PBKS) during the ongoing IPL 2025, suggesting it was because "he and the actress did not marry." This remark didn’t sit well with her. In response, Preity stated that she had never realised how difficult it is for women to survive in a corporate environment.
On Tuesday, Preity Zinta hosted an interaction session on the social media platform X, where she answered all the questions of her fans. However, one comment caught her attention. A user asked, “Mam Maxwell ki aapse shadi ni Hui isiliye vo aapko team se accha ni khelta that?”
To this, she gave a savage response by stating, "Will you ask this question to the male team owners of all teams, or is this discrimination just towards the women? I never knew how difficult it is for women to survive in corporate setups until I got into cricket."

The actress added, "I’m sure you asked this question out of humour, but I hope you can actually look at your question and understand what you are trying to say because if you really understand what you’re trying to say, it’s not pretty ! I think I have earned my stripes by working very hard for the past 18 years so please give me the respect I deserve & stop with the gender bias. Thank you."
Her response quickly went viral and garnered support from her fans. One user wrote, "Preity Ma’am. Hats off to you for this response. You’ve done great work with Punjab Kings and the least anyone can do is show the respect you truly deserve. That people continue to pass such pathetic comments is a shame for all of us. Stay strong and keep rocking ma’am." Another comment read, "Absolutely right. Respect is earned, regardless of gender. Your hard work and dedication speak for themselves!."
Preity Zinta, who is co-owner of Punjab Kings, is often seen in stadiums cheering for the team.
On the work front, she will be seen in Rajkumar Santoshi's Lahore 1947. The film, which also stars Sunny Deol, Shabana Azmi and Ali Fazal.
