Punjabi singer and actor Rajvir Jawanda was hospitalised following a serious road accident near Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, on Saturday, September 27. He is in a critical state and on a ventilator support. According to reports, the singer’s bike collided with stray cattle on the road, leading to a severe crash. Rajvir was soon taken to the Civil Hospital for treatment, where doctors had confirmed that he had suffered severe head and spine injuries, followed by a cardiac arrest. Later, for better treatment, he was shifted to Fortis Hospital, Mohali. As news of Rajvir's condition broke, it left his fans and the Punjabi music community deeply concerned. Many Punjabi singers, including Diljit Dosanjh, Ammy Virk, Gippy Grewal and others, expressed their shock and offered prayers for his speedy recovery on social media.
Diljit Dosanjh recently paused his Hong Kong concert during his Aura Tour and urged the audience to pray for Rajvir Jawanda’s health and recovery. The video of the moment has gone viral, in which he is heard saying, "We have a very dear brother. He is a very great singer, Rajvir Jawanda. He met with an accident on a bike yesterday. Please pray for him."

Earlier, reacting to Rajvir’s accident news, Diljit on his Instagram story wrote, “Praying for @rajvirjawandaofficial Veera. Just Heard About The Accident News.”
Ammy Virk shared a portrait of Rajvir on his Instagram handle with a message that read, "Plz Waheguru ji kirpa kareyo."
Joining them, Gippy Gerewal also sent his prayers in a long message in Punjabi, ending with “Waheguru Mehar Karo.”
Amrit Maan also penned a note on his Instagram story, requesting everyone to pray for the singer’s health and urging people not to spread fake news about someone’s life.

Folk artist Kanwar Grewal, who visited Rajvir in Fortis Hospital, shared a video message on Instagram, asking fans not to spread false and negative rumours about the singer's health on social media. He claimed that doctors are treating Rajveer Jawanda well, and that he is recovering. In the clip, he specifically pointed out the many messages trending on social media with the hashtag ‘RIP’; however, the singer is still fighting for his life. Folding his hands, he asked everyone to pray for Rajvir’s recovery.
