Director Nitesh Tiwari's upcoming epic movie titled Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor, has captured immense public excitement, generating countless news headlines. The ‘josh’ has been fueled with the movie’s star-studded cast, which includes Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as the evil Ravana. With such popular actors, the star power comes with big fees. Reportedly, Ranbir Kapoor's paycheck totals to Rs 150 crore, while Yash commands a Rs 100 crore fee (for both parts). Sai Pallavi's earnings also stand at Rs 12 crore. The mega-project, backed by producer Namit Malhotra, who is the CEO of the Oscar-winning VFX company DNEG, will be released in two parts during Diwali 2026 and 2027.

Namit Mlahotra recently opened up about his views on actors demanding a high rate of fees these days. During a recent interview with Komal Nahata, the producer shared his views on whether actors’ demand for higher fees has been spoiling the industry or not. The producer said, “Jitna aap star ke balbute pe hi apna sara kaam karenge toh woh toh price lega hi. Stars ko bhi to dikhna chahiye ki aap kya kar rahe hain. 90 percent star vehicle banake aap poora apna business poora responsibility unpe daalte hain. Toh naturally wo apna benefit leke jayga. Har ek business ka har ek area ka yahi reality hai.”

Further, during the conversation, Namit Malhotra expressed that the 20:80 ratio should be followed, where 20 percent is for the writer, director, and actor, and 80 percent is for the production and marketing. “Mere hisaab se 20:80 ka split hona chahiye,” he expressed. He further made sure to mention that this ratio is being followed in his upcoming mythological project. Ramayana producer was further asked to pick between Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Sooraj Barjatya for Brahmastra 2, and he quickly selected the Animal director.
