Most Searched Movie On Google In 2025: It's officially that time of year when Google India releases its eagerly anticipated 'Year In Search' lists across categories, which provide an overview of the topics that the entire nation was interested in. Google India's Top 10 Most Searched Indian Films of 2025 is the list that immediately caught our attention out of all the others. From an Indian animated feature making waves at the box office to regional cinema controlling the discourse across India. The top ten included five South Indian and five Hindi films, demonstrating the increasing interest of southern cinema throughout India. The list gives a clear picture of how the entertainment industry is evolving.

Saiyaara
Mohit Suri directed Saiyaara became a breakout phenomenon, capturing the attention of Indian audiences. All because of the film's appeal to young audience , heartfelt music, and excellent performances by its debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda. Saiyaara became the most searched Indian movie on Google in 2025 due to the intense online buzz it created.

Kantara Chapter 1
The much awaited prequel to Rishab Shetty's 2022 hit film Kantara is titled Kantara: A Legend Chapter 1. Even before it was released, there was a lot of expectation due to the film's powerful visuals and legendary setting. A song by Diljit Dosanjh, along with the movie's trailer and posters, aroused a lot of interest in the film. Rishab Shetty's growing cinematic vision, the film's mystery-driven plot, and its deeply ingrained cultural themes made it one of the most talked-about movies of the year.

Coolie, starring superstar Rajinikanth, is holding firm at No. 3. The film's intense action and Thalaivar's enormous presence made it one of the most talked-about releases of the year. It included chart-topping music by Anirudh Ravichander as well. Coolie dominated fan conversations and social media trends for weeks after Rajinikanth's return in a mass-action entertainer genre, propelling it to the top of search results. Rajinikanth is now filming Coolie 2 as well.
War 2
War 2, one of the most anticipated installments in YRF's spy universe, comes right behind at No. 4. The movie attracted a lot of searches months before it was released, with Hrithik Roshan joined by Telugu superstar Jr. NTR and Kiara Advani. Fans of Jr. NTR were thrilled because it was the actor's first appearance in Bollywood. The movie continued to be in the news and searches because of casting rumors, crossover cinematic conjecture, and rumors.
Sanam Teri Kasam
Many were taken aback when Sanam Teri Kasam, ranked No. 5, returned to the public eye. The film was re-released in February 2025 after first appearing in theaters in 2016. The film, starring Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane and Harshvardhan Rane, was an unexpected smash this year and earned Rs 31.9 crore in its 12-day run. Large-scale marketing and an ensemble cast propelled Tarun Masukhani's film. Laal Pari, its item song, also reached the top of the charts.

Mahavatar Narasimha was made at a small budget of Rs 40 crore but it went on to collect a phenomenal Rs 326.82 crore globally. Fans adored the film when it debuted on Netflix.
