About Salman Khan Galwan Valley Project
Meanwhile, Salman Khan's untitled movie is reportedly based on the Galwan chapter of Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh’s book, India’s Most Fearless 3, and is slated to commence in July 2025. The Sikandar actor is cast as Colonel B. Santosh Babu, the commanding officer of the 16 Bihar Regiment, who led Indian troops during the Galwan clash. According to a report in Pinkvilla, the movie will have a rigorous 70-day shooting schedule and is expected to be completed by October. Khan is currently undergoing training to prepare for action sequences and to authentically portray his role as a soldier.
This project is poised to be one of the most crucial films for Salman Khan, as it marks his first time portraying a real-life character in a film. Although he has previously worn a military uniform in Heroes and Jai Ho, those roles have been comparatively limited. Helmed by Apoorva Lakhia, best known for Shootout at Lokhandwala and Mission Istanbul, this movie is based on true events and promises high-octane action that will resonate with audiences.
