Sara Ali Khan, who has been gearing up for the release of Metro In Dino, has recently been grabbing headlines for reuniting with the filmmaker Aanand L Rai. The actor-director duo earlier collaborated in the 2021 movie Atrangi Re. An India Today report suggests that Sara has already started filming the project in Mumbai. It further stated that the team is prepping to finish the shoot soon. The report suggests that the movie is slated to release in theatres in 2026. A source told India Today, “Sara has already started work on the film in Mumbai. However, all details of the film are being kept under wraps. The team is prepping to finish the shoot soon, as they are eyeing a release sometime in 2026. While not much is known about Sara Ali Khan’s character, the source assured that the film and her character will surprise all her fans.”

Earlier this year, Sara Ali Khan shared a picture with Aanand L Rai, which ignited rumours about their reported collaboration. The photo was taken at New Delhi’s Bangla Sahib Gurudwara. The filmmaker re-shared it on Instagram stories, “Blessings satnam shri waheguru.”

Coming back to Metro In Dino, the movie also features Aditya Roy Kapoor, Konkona Sen Sharma, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Neena Gupta, Anupam Kher and Kay Kay Menon in key roles. It has been directed by Anurag Basu and produced by Anurag Basu, Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar. Metro In Dino is slated to release in theatres on July 4, 2025.

On the other hand, Aanand is busy working on his next movie, Tere Ishk Mein, which features Dhanush and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles. In January this year, the actors were introduced to announce the film. The teasers of the film seemed very intense and intriguing. Introducing Dhanush’s character in the movie, Aanand wrote on Instagram “Life tests the same quality of you, which exists within you. There was love inside me. -अमृता प्रीतम Witness SHANKAR and MUKTI in #TereIshkMein.”

Tere Ishk Mein is slated to release in theatres this year on November 28. It has been produced by Aanand L Rai, Himanshu Sharma, Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar. The music of the film has been composed by A.R. Rahman.
