According to reports the PK actor is all set to collaborate with acclaimed Tamil director Lokesh Kanagaraj. The two are reportedly working on a high-budget superhero movie, which is expected to begin shooting in the second half of next year.

Aamir Khan told PTI, “Lokesh and I are working on a film, it is a superhero film. It is a big-scale action film and it will start next year, second half." The report of this exciting collaboration has already created a buzz across the movie industry. Meanwhile, Lokesh Kanagaraj, known for directing Tamil blockbusters like Vikram, Leo, Kaithi, and Master, is joining forces with Aamir Khan for the first time. On the work front, Aamir Khan is currently preparing for the release of his upcoming movie Sitaare Zameen Par, which is set to hit cinemas on 20th June. The film is considered a spiritual sequel to his 2007 hit Taare Zameen Par, and has already raised anticipation among fans and critics. There were recent rumours suggesting a sequel to Aamir’s 2014 comedy-drama PK, but the actor has denied them. Instead, he further in the media interaction revealed that he is reuniting with PK director Rajkumar Hirani for a biopic based on Dadasaheb Phalke, the Father of Indian Cinema. “PK 2 is a rumour. I’m doing Dadasaheb Phalke biopic, Raju and I are working on it,” Aamir clarified.

In addition, the Sitaare Zameen Par actor also shared that his dream project remains the epic Mahabharata, which he has been planning for over 25 years. However, he admitted that it is still in early stages. “It is not a film. When you are making Mahabharata, you are not making a film, you’re surrendering. I’m trying, but I don’t know if I’ll be able to fulfil my dream,” he said.

When asked about sequels, Aamir mentioned that 3 Idiots, Dil Chahta Hai, and Sarfarosh are films that could have second parts. He suggested a sequel to Dil Chahta Hai could show the characters going through a mid-life crisis and even seeking therapy.
