Sardaar Ji 3 Box Office Collection: Sardaar Ji 3, the Punjabi horror comedy, is still doing well at the box office. Thanks to the tremendous response it has been receiving in Pakistan, the Diljit Dosanjh-starring movie made an astounding amount of money during its first weekend of release, despite not being released in India because of the controversy.

Sardaar Ji 3 grossed Rs 7 crore on Sunday, bringing its total worldwide collection to Rs 18.1 crore, after a 'record-breaking overseas opening' of Rs 4.30 crore on Friday (June 27) that increased to Rs 6.75 crore on day two, as per sacnilk. The Punjabi movie may even break the box office records set by the first two installments of the franchise if the current trend continues and the horror comedy maintains pace. This would further highlight how much the movie's potential earnings have been hurt by not having a theatrical release in India.

Sardaar Ji 3 made around Rs 3.85 crore (PKR 12.75 crore or $450,000) in Pakistan, breaking the previous record for a 3-day weekend set by Salman Khan's Sultan, which debuted with about PKR 11 crore in 2016. When Sardaar Ji 3 was released on June 27, 2025, it broke previous records set by Bollywood blockbusters. Considering the difficulties Pakistan's film industry has had recently, the franchise's explosive start has caught many industry experts off guard.

Sardaar Ji 3 Controversy

Sardaar Ji's cast and crew were criticised for collaborating with Pakistani artists soon after the trailer was unveiled. Following the Pahalgam terror attack in April, it was decided to ban Pakistani actors in the country. However, Diljit Dosanjh revealed that the movie was filmed months before to Operation Sindoor and the Pahalgam incident in an interview with BBC Asian Network. He said, "When this film was made, the situation was fine... We shot it in February and everything was going well at that time. Look, there are a lot of things, big things, that are not in our control. So the producers decided that obviously, now this film won't release in India, so let's release it overseas."
