Sardaar Ji 3 Trailer: The trailer for Diljit Dosanjh's upcoming movie Sardaar Ji 3 has created buzz for all the wrong reasons. Everyone was shocked to see Pakistani actor Hania Aamir opposite Diljit. In the horror comedy, Hania joins the Punjabi singer as a ghost hunter to remove a spirit from a mansion in the United Kingdom. After the makers dropped the trailer, it didn't sit well with netizens, who trolled Diljit for working with a Pakistani actress amid ongoing India-Pakistan tensions. Amid the backlash, film’s producer Gunbir Singh Sidhu broke his silence on Hania's involvement in Sardaar Ji 3.
Reacting to Hania's casting, Sardaar Ji 3 producer Gunbir Singh Sidhu revealed how the film was shot before the tension between India and Pakistan. In an interview with India Today, he said, "The film was shot before the conflict with Pakistan. Keeping sentiments on Indian in mind, no India release for the movie."
Shortly after the release of the trailer, numerous netizens in the comments section criticized Diljit for Hania’s casting. They called him 'insensitive' and 'shameless'. Some got disappointed and stated, 'Didn't expect this from you Diljit paaji. You let us down.'
The trailer for Sardaar Ji 3 is not accessible on YouTube India. The viewers encounter a message stating, "The uploader has not made this video available in your country."
This appears to be the film’s decision to skip an India release due to ongoing tensions. Diljit's Instagram caption alongside the trailer video, stated, "Sardaar Ji 3 Releasing 27th June OVERSEAS Only. FADH LAO BHOOND DIAN LATTAN."

On June 11, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) urged the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to deny certification to Sardaar Ji 3 over the casting of Pakistani actors. Not only does it include Hania Aamir's name but Nasir Chinyoti, Daniel Khawar, and Saleem Albela. In order to avoid controversies, the producers of the film have decided to release the movie overseas rather than the theatrical release in India.
Following the terror attack in Pahalgam, the Instagram accounts of Pakistani artists were banned in India, among them was Hania's account too. When the tensions escalated between India and Pakistan. The actress remarks after India’s Operation Sindoor fueled the controversy. And fans demanded the removal of her from Diljit's movie.
