Shah Rukh Khan is currently working on his upcoming project King, which is the most anticipated films of 2026. The filming of the King began this year. King Khan, who was shooting for the film, reportedly came across a tragic incident. As per a report by Bollywood Hungama, the superstar got injured while shooting an intense sequence at the Golden Tobacco Studio in Mumbai. The specific reason for the injury has not been disclosed yet. Some insiders told the portal that King Khan has now flown to the United States for medical treatment. 

A source close to the production shared, “It’s not a serious injury, but more of a muscular strain. Over the years, Shah Rukh has picked up multiple injuries from stunt work, and this seems to be a result of accumulated stress." The insider also added that the actor's team has opted for precautionary care abroad and ensured her receives the best treatment available. 
 
Doctors have reportedly advised Shah Rukh to take a complete rest for at least a month. Due to SRK's injury, the shooting of King has been halted. The film's shooting locations, such as Film City, Golden Tobacco, and YRF Studios, were initially booked through July and August, but bookings have been cancelled for some time now. As per reports, the next schedule is likely to start from either September or October.

Shah Rukh Khan's film King has been directed by Siddharth Anand, who also directed his previous movie Pathaan. The film has been creating buzz since the announcement. With King, SRK's daughter Suhana Khan will make her theatrical debut. Abhishek Bachchan will be playing the protagonist in the film. According to reports, King also features Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Jaideep Ahlawat, Anil Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, and Jackie Shroff. The film is expected to release on EID this year.
