Simple Kaul’s work trajectory is a tale of a television actress shifting careers from the glitzy world to the entrepreneurial field. Known for her role as Gulabo in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Simple first gained popularity with her memorable character of Pam in the cult-classic sitcom Shararat: Thoda Jaadu, Thodi Nazaakat. Apart from these, she was also a prominent part of shows like Jeannie Aur Juju, Oye Jassie and Ziddi Dil Maane Na. Now, after taking a break from the industry, Simple Kaul is back in the news, but not due to her work. The actress has decided to part ways with her husband and businessman Rahul Loomba.

Simple Kaul recently shed light on her decision to get a divorce from her partner. She was living in a long-distance marriage with Rahul Loomba, and has finally decided to separate ways. During a recent interview with Hindustan Times, the actress reflected on her decision and called it a ‘tough’ one.

Simple Kaul said, "I didn’t want to talk about the separation, as it is not finalised yet. I hadn’t planned on sharing about it yet, as it’s tough, but I knew this had to happen. I don’t really know how to express what I am feeling right now. I will bounce back. It will take time, but I will."

In another interview with Times of India, Simple Kaul stated that it’s a mutual decision and mentioned that the couple is still like a family. She revealed, “It’s very recent. It is mutual and we are very mature humans. We’re more than family. It just doesn’t go in my head that it is done because so many years of my life I’ve known this person. I don’t know how people detach, it doesn’t happen in my mind."

Though the actress did not reveal any specific reason behind filing for a divorce, she once mentioned in an earlier interview that she was living in a long-distance marriage because her husband’s work required him to travel a lot. She also stated that they shared a good understanding, and this way, she was able to focus more on her career.
