Shruti Haasan, who is set to play an essential role in Rajinikanth’s Coolie, talked about her character Preethi Rajasekar in the Tamil movie. A few days before its grand release, the actress highlighted ‘some aspects’ of her role. Shruti also stated that she is not at all like her character. However, she feels she is connected to some aspects of Preethi Rajasekar’s characteristics. Excited to watch Shruti Haasan as Preethi Rajasekar in Coolie? Know some aspects about her role.

Shruti Haasan said, “I don't think Preeti is like me at all. But I did connect with certain aspects of her. I believe many women will relate to those parts, and that's what I really liked about the character. Preeti is extremely responsible, extremely focused, and quite inspiring.”

The actress also talked about her work experience with director Lokesh Kanagaraj. She added, “Sharing screen space with such legends and being guided by Lokesh was an incredible learning experience. It pushed me to explore new facets of my performance.”

Coolie released in theatres on August 14 (Thursday) in multiple languages, including Tamil, Kannada, Hindi and Telugu. The action drama movie delves into a man’s relentless quest for vengeance since his youth. It shows the complexities of his tumultuous vendetta journey. The film features Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Aamir Khan, Soubin Shahir, Shruti Haasan, Upendra Rao, Pooja Hegde, Sathyaraj, Reba Monica John and Monisha Blessy in key roles. The movie has been produced by Kalanithi Maran. It has a runtime of 2 hours 50 minutes. As per reports by Hindustan Times, the advance booking worldwide of Coolie is Rs 50 crore.

Coolie will have a box office clash with War 2 on August 14. War 2 features Hrithik Roshan, Kiara Advani, Jr NTR, Shabir Ahluwalia and Ashutosh Rana in prominent roles. It has been directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by YRF.
