Coolie has become one of the highly anticipated action films of the year, thanks to its star-studded cast and compelling storyline. The action thriller, headlined by Rajinikanth and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is set to hit theatres on August 14. Ahead of the theatrical run, the makers unveiled the trailer, which has created waves on social media, featuring glimpses of the cast. Shruti Haasan is also part of the film and is excited to share screen space not only with Megastar Rajinikanth but also with Aamir Khan and Nagarjuna Akkineni in Coolie.

Shruti Haasan shared her excitement about the upcoming film and being part of a stellar cast. In an interview with Sudhir Sreenivasan, the actress said, "I have combination scenes with all the actors in Coolie, and I am thrilled to share screen space with such a heavy-duty star cast."

Earlier, Shruti clarified that she is playing the daughter of veteran actor Sathyaraj in the movie, not Rajinikanth’s daughter as reports stated.

This is not the first time she shared excitement working with Rajinikanth; in her previous interview, she called him a man with a 'golden heart'. Echoing every fan's sentiments, Shruti shared, "I was blown away on set after witnessing his positive energy. His expressions and dialogues are like a minimalized version of dance or fight choreography—similar to seeing Bruce Lee’s movies."

Rajinikanth is making a return as Deva in Coolie, a former gold smuggler with a mysterious dark past. He uses stolen tech hidden in vintage watches to bring back his old mafia gang for a new mission. Besides him, the movie stars Nagarjuna Akkineni, Upendra Rao, Sathyaraj, Soubin Shahir, Reba Monica John, Rachita Ram and others. Aamir Khan has a special appearance in Coolie. To set the tone of the film, the music score is composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The film will face a major clash at the box office with War 2 starring Hrithik Roshan, Kiara Advani and Jr NTR.
