Sidhu Moosewala's posthumous track Barota was posted on his official YouTube page on Friday. The video received over 26 million views in a single day, along with over a million likes and a deluge of comments from fans who have been listening to his music since his death in 2022. The song, which is little more than four minutes, started to gain popularity as soon as it was shared online.
Sidhu Moosewala's song's lyrics cues to his earlier work, including swagger-coded comparisons, descriptions based in rural Punjab, and references to villages. The song tells a story of rivalry and attraction while incorporating imagery of youth, pride, and physical prowess. The song shot to the top of YouTube's music trending ranking in just one day after it was released.
Sidhu Moosewala is the song's composer, performer, and lyricist, according to the video description. Even some old footage and probably some AI-generated images show him in the film. The music video also featured Balkaur Singh, the deceased singer's father. More than 3.5 million people saw song's teaser since it was released a prior to the actual song's release.

Sidhu Moosewala's fans have been profoundly captivated by Moosewala's voice in the song once more. Barota's music and lyrics were also written by the late singer. One of the many user wrote, "This person is complete definition of ONE MAN ARMY." Another user wrote, "I'm from USA 🇺🇸 I don't understand your language but love the vibe. Love you, India." A third person wrote on YouTube, "Sidha da koi muqabla nahi, lyrics typical legendary style."

Barota is Sidhu Moosewala's seventh release since his passing in Jawaharke village, Mansa district, on May 29, 2022. His family has continued to commemorate significant events related to his legacy and career. The three-song album Moose Print, which was released on his 32nd birthday earlier this year, reached 100 million views in just four months.
Sidhu Moosewala's fans activity surrounding each new upload even now indicates that interest in his music has not decreased.
Meanwhile, the late Punjabi singer's official Instagram account revealed the 2026 Signed to God World Tour in July 2025. But as of right now, there's no information available about the tour's schedule, performers, dates, or locations.
