Sitaare Zameen Par Box Office Collection Day 12: Sitaare Zameen Par stars Aamir Khan as Gulshan Arora, a former basketball coach who was suspended from his position and given community service. He coaches a group of athletes with specific needs as part of his punishment. Divy Nidhi Sharma wrote the film, which is a spiritual sequel to Aamir Khan's 2007 masterpiece Taare Zameen Par. The heartfelt sports drama is doing quite well at the box office. The sports drama, which was directed by RS Prasanna, brought in Rs 4 crore on Tuesday, bringing its total domestic box office receipts to Rs 130.40 crore.

Sitaare Zameen Par got off to a great start with Rs 10.70 crore opening,and saw impressive development over the weekend. On its first Saturday, it made Rs 20.20 crore, and on Sunday, it made Rs 27.25 crore. The first week's overall box office receipts of Rs 88.9 crore showed strong crowd traction and word-of-mouth.

Sitaare Zameen Par Worldwide Collection

Sitaare Zameen Par, which also stars Genelia D'Souza has made a total of Rs 202.4 crore worldwide. This comprises Rs 51 crore from foreign markets and Rs 151.4 crore gross from India. The RS Prasanna-directed movie has received praise for its poignant story and is still attracting family audiences as it enters its second week of release.

The release of Metro, directed by Anurag Basu, puts the movie up against new competition in its second week. Jurassic World: Rebirth, the Hollywood sci-fi blockbuster will also pose a threat to Aamir Khan's movie. So far, the sequel to the 2007 movie has held strong against new releases, including Kajol led Maa and Vishnu Manchu's Telugu movie, Kannappa.
