Siva Re-Release: Nagarjuna announced the re-release date of his hit 1989 movie Siva on his father ANR’s 101st birthday anniversary. Ram Gopal Varma’s directorial Telugu movie will hit the silver screens again in 4K and Dolby Atmos. The movie initially released in theatres on October 5, 1989. The film was then made on a budget of Rs 75 lakhs and had a massive box office collection. Now decades later, Nagarjuna decided to re-release his movie in November.

When To Watch Siva In The Theatres?

The Telugu movie is set to hit the screens on November 14, this year. Announcing the news, Nagarjuna shared a heartwarming tweet. He wrote, “On my dear father ANR ‘s birthday, I am pleased to announce the film that shook Indian cinema is coming back to shake the theaters again @AnnapurnaStdios and @RGVzoomin 's PATH BREAKING FILM #SHIVA Grand Re-Release in theatres on NOVEMBER 14TH, 2025 Experience the cult classic #SHIVA4K with Dolby Atmos Sound on the big screens #50YearsOfAnnapurna #ANRLivesOn.”
Fans have reacted to the tweet and shared their views on it. A user said, “#Great News Sir.” Another said, “After watching #TheGodFather the path breaking film of 1972 at the Cinemas for the first time... I can't wait to see our Indian Path Breaking film at the cinemas for the first time as well... #Shiva4K.” A tweet read, “R we going to hav hindi version too release in Western n northern part of India?” A fan said, “Nagarjuna Sir movie Shiva was the cult classic movie in Indian cinema directed by Ram Gopal Varma sir.”

The movie is about a boy named Siva, who is disgusted by the corruption in and around his new college. After much wait, he and his friends decide to take a stand against the status quo.

The movie features Nagarjuna, Amala Akkineni, J. D. Chakravarthy, Raghuvaran, Chinna, Tanikella Bharani, Subhalekha Sudhakar, Brahmaji, Gollapudi Maruti Rao, Nirmalamma, Uttej and Ram Jagan in pivotal roles. It has been directed by Ram Gopal Varma and produced by Akkineni Venkat, Surendra Yarlagadda. The film has a runtime of 2 hours and 25 minutes.
